‘Shadow’ to participate in Gbeck Future

Iranian short ‘Shadow’ is to participate in the Gbeck Future Film Festival in Canada.

Iranian short flick ‘Shadow’ has made its way to the Gbeck Future Film Festival in Canada.

The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported that ‘Shadow’, directed by Farzin Taheri, will take part in the 8th edition of the Canadian event.

The film is about a lonely old man who has no motive to live and is thinking of taking his own life. At the same time, weird events take place in his home and they make him change his mind.

Earlier reports said ‘The Statue’ by Mohsen Salehifard will also take part in the Gbeck Future.

The Gbeck Future Film Festival is “a competition of original films created by filmmakers from around the world, designed to discover and support young filmmakers”, an online submission platform reads.

“Many great young filmmakers have been fostered by this event, and many excellent new films were discovered in the selection process.”

The 8th edition of the Gbeck Future Film Festival will take place on April 8-10.
